Musophobia reigns in my workplace. The woman who works in the work station next to me found a mouse had gotten into her stash of snack foods over the weekend. She was a little distressed over this. Mousetraps were baited and set in her desk drawer and under her desk. Later in the afternoon I heard the snap of the mousetrap being sprung followed by a little scream from my coworker. I went over to her desk and found her flustered. I checked the desk drawer and found the mousetrap was still set. I looked under her desk and found the mousetrap sprung and the mouse kicking its last. I retrieved the mousetrap, removed the mouse carcass, put the carcass into a plastic bag and took it outside where I deposited the bag into a garbage can. The mousetrap was reset and so far no more mice have turned up.
